Hal Robson-Kanu Added As New EA Sports FC Hero!

Hal Robson-Kanu is to be honoured in the new EA Sports FC video game, being added to the Ultimate Team version of the game.

The former Welsh International is set to be included in the first ever version of the game, following on from EA Sport’s split from FIFA.

FIFA 23 will be the last in the FIFA series of games, with EA launching their new brand of games, under the EA Sports FC name.

With the new game (and an updated ultimate team) comes some brand-new icons and heroes in the game (which you can read more about here).

In addition to being brought in to the game as a Hero card, EA have already added in his fully-scanned player face into FIFA 23.

This is in anticipation of his inclusion in EA Sports FC, which will be his first appearance in the game since leaving West Brom in 2021.

His hero card will likely be based on his heroics for Wales during their incredible Euro 2016 run. He led the line tireless for Y Ddraig, helping Wales go all the way to the semi-finals, before being eliminated by eventual winners Portugal.

In the quarter-final match against Belgium, Hal Robson-Kanu scored an outrageous Cruyff turn, sending three Belgium players the wrong way and firing Wales 2-1 ahead.

Sam Vokes scored a third for Wales to send them through to the semis, but it was Robson-Kanu who gained all the plaudits (and reported interest from Atletico Madrid following his incredible goal).

You will likely be able to play as Hal Robson-Kanu later this year, with the predicted EA Sports FC release date expected to be in late September.
