AEW Fight Forever DLC Legends We Need To See In 2023

AEW Fight Forever has been released finally, although many have found its roster quite lacking.

While it features a good number of AEW superstars, the roster of legends is quite lacking. Outside the likes of Sting and Owen Hart, the game does not boast the star power of WWE’s latest installment.

This has led many to speculate that an AEW Fight Forever Legends DLC could be on the horizon, adding more legendary wrestlers to an already impressive roster of current AEW talent.

In this article, we’ve given our thoughts on which legends could be a part of this DLC, and who we would love to play as in the next update for AEW Fight Forever.

Bret Hart

Despite only making one appearing in AEW, Bret Hart would be the perfect inclusion in AEW Fight Forever.

The former WWF and WCW Champion only made one appearance with AEW. He made his debut at the first AEW pay per view, Double or Nothing. Bret Hart revealed the new AEW Championship on the show, and was one of many legends to feature that night.

Bret Hart is one of the greatest wrestlers of all time. He has competed all over the world, winning world titles and even main eventing shows like WrestleMania, and multiple WCW pay per views.

Bret Hart would be one of the first legends I would urge AEW to get for their game. His pink and black look is iconic, and fans will be itching to see him tear it with fellow Canadians Chris Jericho, Kenny Omega and Christian Cage.

As Owen Hart is finally a part of a video game, with his inclusion in Fight Forever, fans will be hoping they can have the pair tag together on the game one last time.

Diamond Dallas Page

Diamond Dallas Page, or DDP, is a WWE Hall of Famer and former WCW Champion. However, he wrestled his last ever match in AEW in 2019.

Way back in the early days of AEW Dynamite, DDP teamed with QT Marshall and Dustin Rhodes, taking on the trio of MJF, The Butcher and The Blade.

His inclusion in a potential AEW Fight Forever Legends DLC would help expand the roster, and add some legendary star power to the currently lacking roster of stars.

The Rock ‘n’ Roll Express

The legendary tag team have made numerous appearances on AEW Television. The duo appeared in AEW Dynamite to crown the inaugural AEW Tag team champions, but were attacked by Santana and Ortiz.

They later returned to attack Proud and Powerful, even performing a stunning sunset flip, whilst in their 60s.

The Rock ‘n’ Roll express would be a great edition, with WWE failing to feature great 80s tag team wrestlers in their games for the longest times.

It would also open up some dream matches for fans and wrestlers alike. FTR have spoken about being huge fans of Robert Gibson and Ricky Morton, and the chance to pit these two teams together is sure to create magic.

Keiji Mutoh

Also known as The Great Muta, Mutoh is another one of the legends of wrestling to appear in AEW. He appeared at AEW Full Gear, as a judge for the AEW World Championship match between Chris Jericho and Cody Rhodes.

He also appeared as The Great Muta on an episode of AEW Rampage, helping save Sting from a beatdown and hitting his signature Poison Mist.

The Japanese legend has never appeared in a WWE game, but a fictionalized version of himself did appear in the Playstation title WCW vs The World.

His recent retirement match, which involved AEW’s Sting and Darby Allin, put an end to his thirty-year career. This opens him up for a legends’ inclusion in AEW Fight Forever, hopefully as part of a New Japan DLC for the game.

Lance Storm

Lance T Storm was a fixture of WWE and WCW in the early 2000s, and still wrestles occasionally to this day.

Storm and friend Chris Jericho have both said they want their last match together. They both debuted against each other, and want to end their careers full circle.

He would be a great addition to a roster of already great technical wrestlers. Fans will also be able to recreate the tag team “The Thrill Seekers” which he and Jericho teamed as in Smokey Mountain Wrestling.
