The Indie Wrestlers AEW Fight Forever Need To Add As DLC

AEW Fight Forever has been released, and fans are excitied to see which new wrestlers will be added as new DLC characters.

While we’ve looked at the Japanese DLC and Legends DLC characters that could be added, it is now time to look at some of the lesser-known stars who could be included in AEW Fight Forever.

The indie wrestling scene is where most of the AEW roster first became stars, so it seems right to honor that by including some modern day indie wrestlers in the game as Downloadable Content.

We’ve picked some of the top talents currently unsigned to any big companies who we would like to see added as part of an AEW Fight Forever Indie DLC pack.

Let us know what you think, and tell us who you would add as DLC to AEW Fight Forever, in the comments section below.

AEW Fight Forever Indie Wrestlers DLC

Matt Cardona (Zack Ryder)

Since leaving WWE, Matt Cardona has worked his way up to becoming the biggest star on the independent wrestling scene.

Dubbed the “King of the Death Match” (due to his victory of Nick Gage in GCW), Cardona has gone from strength to strength, winning a series of Championships all over the country.

As a former NWA World’s Heavyweight Champion, he would be one of the most successful additions to the AEW Fight Forever roster. Matt Cardona would also be a popular inclusion in the DLC, having wrestled a handful of matches for AEW in 2020.

Lio Rush

Despite retiring for the 47th time, Lio Rush would still be a fantastic addition to the AEW Fight Forever roster.

Rush has been signed to WWE, AEW and NJPW in recent years, but injuries have made him question his career in wrestling multiple times.

His two stints in AEW ended prematurely, but his in-ring style would make for a fun addition to the game.

He is a small, high-flying star who possesses the innovative style and qualities that would make him a unique member of the AEW Fight Forever roster.

Mark Andrews & Flash Morgan Webster

AEW Fight Forever is currently lacking in established tag teams, despite it being a key part of the games marketing.

Adding some of the indie’s top teams as DLC would be a smart move by AEW. One of the best teams out there is Subculture, which is comprised of Welsh-duo Mark Andrews & Flash Morgan Webster.

The pair recently wrestled for the WWE, becoming the only Welsh wrestlers to win championships in the promotion.

The pair also wrestled against The Motor City Machine Guns in Impact Wrestling, although are currently unsigned and wrestle mainly on the British indies.

With their name value still high after being released by the WWE, their inclusion in an AEW Fight Forever Indie DLC would help bring more eyes to the game, including those of fans of the British wrestling indepedent promotions.

Nick Gage

While he has appeared on one episode of AEW Dynamite, Nick Gage is still considered one of the biggest stars on the indies today.

With a penchant for the hardcore, the death match legend will be a perfect addition to AEW Fight Forever, especially with the Exploding Barbed Wire Death Match being included in the game.

A rematch with Chris Jericho would be perfect for Fight Forever, although watching him wrestle against former opponents like Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston would also make Nick Gage’s addition a must-have for an Indie DLC pack.
